This HUD project is inspired by Dav Rauch's work on the movie Iron Man's heads-up display, and on the Orphanage's AE-based approach to compositing. I used a combination of keyframes and expressions to animate the display elements. The wireframe of the canyon was modeled in Cinema4D, based on 3d tracking data from Matchmover. The sky replacement, a still photo, is animated with tracking data from Mocha for After Efects. The original sky was keyed out using the linear color key effect.
